Internships and Placements

At Saint Louis University, what you learn in the classroom is just one component of your education. Through practicums, internships and post-graduation placements, you’ll use your knowledge to make a difference in the world around you.

You may gain practicum experience in a variety of settings, including mental health, research, consulting, schools and community service organizations.

Clinical Psychology

Graduate students pursuing clinical psychology have held internships at hospitals, universities and organizations across the country. They go on to placements that utilize what they’ve learned in these internships, in their research and in the classroom.

Industrial-Organizational

Recently, industrial-organizational graduate students have acquired internships covering everything from change management to survey feedback. The companies where these students are placed after graduation include major corporations, small businesses and nonprofits.
