One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

Saint Louis University’s Center for Social Action promotes many forms of community engagement, from episodic service to more in-depth involvement. This list of one-time volunteer opportunities will help SLU students, faculty or staff make a difference based on your schedule and interests. Many are perfect for groups.

Great Rivers Greenway

What: Volunteers are needed for our Spring Greenway Cutback, cutting back native perennials and grasses in preparation for the warmer season. No experience is needed; good for individuals or small groups.

What: Volunteers are needed to help at our Champions for Children Gala to help guests register in our mobile bidding system, assisting with our wine/whiskey pull, silent auction monitoring, and live auction spotting. Dinner is included for all volunteers.

What: Volunteers are needed for Crossing Delmar Collaborative Projects, a friendly STEAM competition, creative writing workshops, and a poetry slam for seventh graders. Volunteers will help students stay on task as they build machines with everyday objects, write and discuss poetry, and perform group poems.
